Gouging injuries represent a rare, severe form of orbital trauma. We report a case of manual traumatic enucleation.
Records of the patient were reviewed.
The outcome of this case was loss of the globe with an uncomplicated recovery.
Without attention to the particular principles of assessment and management outlined in this report, a satisfactory outcome is not assured.
