Detection of cervical and breast cancer: a community-based pilot study.

Pilot screening clinics were conducted in two Los Angeles County health districts where cervical cancer incidence and mortality rates were high. Results are of interest because they provide information on planning and operating community-based clinics in low-income areas where there are women who are unlikely to seek or are ineligible for available health services.
