Reusing dialysers in the care of renal patients.

Reprocessing dialysers was originally undertaken as a cost-saving measure. Reprocessing reduces incidence of 'first use syndrome'. Significant cost savings may be made with reprocessing. If procedures are carried out correctly, and patients are carefully monitored, reprocessing carries no added risk to patients.
