[Analysis of the perceptions of the frail elderly living in institutions].

The perception of their nursing care by the aged who resides permanently in institutions for the frail-aged, was investigated in this study. An attempt was made to investigate, explain and describe the perceptions of the debilitated institutionalized elderly person over a broad spectrum of their experiences. A clear picture of the experiences of the institutionalized frail-aged person came to the fore and a variety of recommendations were made to address the identified shortcomings of care.
