[Detection, quantitative calculation and identification of bacteria of the Proteus genus in objects of the environment].

The author suggests a complex of nutrient media which aid in detection, quantitative recording and identification of bacteria belonging to Proteus genus and also of the species included into this genus, as well as of the biochemically similar bacteria. The complex of the media constitutes a complete cycle of study: the first stage-fluid enrichment medium, the second stage-isolation and preliminary identification on a hard differential medium with a narrow directed action, and the third stage-determination of the reference of the isolated culture by 9 signs in three integrated media.
