[The possibility of the preservation of foreign DNA in the organs of mice after the intraperitoneal administration of plasmids to adult animals].

We studied the possibility of introduction of heterogeneous genetic information in adult animals through intraperitoneal injection of plasmid DNA precipitated by calcium phosphate. Accumulation of heterogeneous DNA in the liver was shown by Southern hybridization and polymerase chain reaction. Unlike the published data, we obtained a more prolonged (up to 11 days) preservation of heterogeneous DNA in the animals.
