Abstract

Radiation therapy has been used most frequently as one of the important modalities in multidisciplinary cancer treatment. Through the progress of diagnostic imaging, one can now evaluate tumor extent more easily and precisely. On the application of external irradiation, both good local control rate and less radiation damage could be obtained with precise irradiation of the target lesion. A treatment planning system combined with CT simulator and other computerized equipment surrounding the treatment machine have proved useful for clinical use. As a result, conformal radiotherapy and concentration technique of narrow beam onto the target lesion have been applicable with these procedures. These techniques with precise irradiation planning are essential for multidisciplinary treatment to obtain good quality of life during the clinical course of cancer patients.

放射治疗作为多学科癌症治疗的重要手段之一,使用最为频繁。随着诊断成像技术的进步,如今人们能够更轻松、精确地评估肿瘤范围。在进行外照射时,通过精确照射靶病变,可以获得良好的局部控制率且减少辐射损伤。结合CT模拟机和治疗机器周围其他计算机设备的治疗计划系统已被证明在临床应用中很有用。因此,适形放疗和将窄束集中于靶病变的技术已可通过这些程序得以应用。这些具有精确照射计划的技术对于多学科治疗至关重要,以便在癌症患者的临床过程中获得良好的生活质量。
