Developing a course on principles of stoma care.

Hospital and community nurses may see relatively few patients with stomas and thus feel unprepared to care for them. The first short course on stoma care available in Scotland has been set up by specialist nurses to help their colleagues to understand the principles of care. The aim of the course is to produce a network of informed nursing professionals in this field.
