The protein synthesis in chorioallantoic membrane (CAM), amniotic membrane (AM) and yolk sac (YS) were studied by in vitro culture with 14C L-glutamic and immunoautoradiography. 2. The yolk sac synthesizes transferrin, alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) and serum albumin. These three proteins are also synthesized, but only in slight amounts, by AM. A light synthesis of AFP, transferrin and another unidentified protein is detected in the CAM. 3. At the ultrastructural level, AFP is localized in the rough endoplasmic reticulum of CAM mesodermal cells.

通过用¹⁴C L-谷氨酸进行体外培养和免疫放射自显影术，研究了绒毛尿囊膜（CAM）、羊膜（AM）和卵黄囊（YS）中的蛋白质合成。2. 卵黄囊合成转铁蛋白、甲胎蛋白（AFP）和血清白蛋白。羊膜也合成这三种蛋白质，但量很少。在绒毛尿囊膜中检测到AFP、转铁蛋白和另一种未鉴定蛋白质的少量合成。3. 在超微结构水平上，AFP定位于绒毛尿囊膜中胚层细胞的粗面内质网中。
