The role of interleukin-1 in the activation of neutrophils, the main effects of inflammatory reaction, is still unclear. This study has demonstrated that the recombinant preparation interleukin-1 beta (IL-1 beta) which the authors have obtained fails to produce a direct action on the locomotor functions of neutrophils. At the same time, injection of IL-1 beta in mice leads to neutrophilic migration to the injection site and their efflux into peripheral blood. These findings confirm the assumption that interleukin-1 produces a mediator effect on neutrophilic chemotaxis.
白细胞介素-1在作为炎症反应主要效应的中性粒细胞激活过程中的作用仍不清楚。本研究表明,作者所获得的重组制剂白细胞介素-1β(IL-1β)对中性粒细胞的运动功能未产生直接作用。同时,给小鼠注射IL-1β会导致中性粒细胞向注射部位迁移并外流至外周血。这些发现证实了白细胞介素-1对中性粒细胞趋化性产生介质效应的假设。
