Radiotherapy is a locoregional form of treatment. Several recent studies have clearly outlined the major impact on long term survival of local tumor control, and the importance of several parameters of the radiation treatment: dose, fractionation and treatment quality. Different approaches are under investigation to improve its effectiveness: endobronchial brachytherapy, adapted radiotherapy, modified fractionated radiation schedules and combined modalities.
放射治疗是一种局部区域治疗方式。最近的几项研究已明确概述了局部肿瘤控制对长期生存的主要影响，以及放射治疗的几个参数的重要性：剂量、分割方式和治疗质量。目前正在研究不同的方法以提高其有效性：支气管内近距离放射治疗、适形放疗、改良分割放疗方案以及联合治疗模式。
