[Hernioplasty in direct inguinal hernia without opening and dissecting the hernial sac].

The many-layers hernioplasty by N. N. Kanshin's method was performed in 533 patients for direct inguinal hernia. In 240 patients no opening and dissection of the hernial sac was performed. These patients had 1.9% of recurrences of hernias. The authors note the absence of negative consequences resulting from this peculiar intervention.
