[Assessing credibility in suspected sexual abuse of children].

Systematic methods for obtaining and evaluating information from children in an interview situation in cases of alleged sexual abuse are described and objections to assessments of credibility are discussed. It is shown that psychological knowledge exists that can contribute substantially to the investigation of sexual abuse allegations.
