Abstract

Clozapine, an atypical antipsychotic agent with few of the extrapyramidal side effects of other antipsychotic agents, was approved for use in the United States in 1989. Because of drug-induced agranulocytosis, it is dispensed only under rigid guidelines. Overdose has been rare. Presented here is a case of clozapine overdose treated successfully with supportive care in which agranulocytosis did not develop.

氯氮平是一种非典型抗精神病药物，几乎没有其他抗精神病药物的锥体外系副作用，于1989年在美国获批使用。由于药物引起的粒细胞缺乏症，它仅在严格的指导原则下配药。过量用药情况罕见。本文介绍了一例氯氮平过量用药的病例，通过支持性治疗成功治愈，且未发生粒细胞缺乏症。
