Nocturnal penile tumescence evaluation before and after corporeal plication for Peyronie's disease.

A prospective study was done on 76 patients who underwent surgical correction by corporeal plication of the penile deformity secondary to Peyronie's disease. Nocturnal penile tumescence and rigidity were recorded by RigiScan during three consecutive nights, before and after the operation. A significant number of patients developed erections of better quality especially at the tip, after this corporeal plication procedure. These data indicate that corporeal plication does significantly enhance the quality of erectile episodes, by increasing penile rigidity.
