Clinically a combination of phenothiazine derivatives or thymoleptics with behavior-therapeutic techniques (systematic desensitation or assertive training) have proved effective in the treatment of polyphobic disturbances. Among the underlying theoretical considerations the level of activation achieves particular importance.
