The care of adolescent patients frequently presents clinicians with legal dilemmas. We have reviewed some of the relevant legal issues, but our comments are not intended to provide legal advice. Rather they are guidelines that may be helpful in these complex clinical situations. Readers should consult legal counsel for specific questions or concerns.
