This paper presents an historic study of the medical criteria used for the diagnosis of rickets up to the present time. It mainly refers to diagnosis at very early stages. The publications edited in Spain were chiefly used as source material. Attention is drawn to the progress in clinical and differential diagnosis in each historic period. The physiopathological mentality tried to discover biochemical sings at early stages which were characteristic of the illness. These data later suffered a progressive devaluation so that nowadays the early diagnosis of the illness represents an almost identical challenge to that of the XIXth century.
本文呈现了一项关于直至目前用于佝偻病诊断的医学标准的历史性研究。它主要涉及极早期阶段的诊断。西班牙编辑出版的文献主要用作资料来源。文中提请人们注意每个历史时期临床诊断和鉴别诊断方面的进展。生理病理学思维试图在疾病早期发现具有该疾病特征的生化迹象。这些数据后来逐渐贬值，以至于如今该疾病的早期诊断面临着与19世纪几乎相同的挑战。
