The case of a 73-year-old patient with a pure dural arteriovenous fistula within the falx cerebri, first manifested as subarachnoid and intraventricular haemorrhage is reported. There was no positive history for both the congenital and the acquired type of lesion. Computed tomographic findings and the relatively unusual angiographic features are discussed.
