[Possibilities for using the first dorsal metacarpal artery in acute management of severe hand injuries].

Two new indications for the first dorsal metacarpal artery are demonstrated in two cases with severe hand injuries. In the first case, an index pollicization was performed on the dorsal pedicle, in the second case a "kite" flap from the index finger was successfully microsurgically anastomosed.
