Abstract

In two upper-jaw free-end dentures with proximal rigid anchorage and equal average saddle width, the relationship between resilience of the mucous membrane of the alveolar ridge, the saddle area and the distribution of the load between abutment teeth and edentulous denture-bearing base was studied.
