The results of 40 subcardial resections of the stomach with a tumour located at its lower and middle third are presented. Total lethality (7.5%) was not caused by the method of operation used. According to the data of clinico-roentgenological and endoscopic studies, no reflux esophagitis was noted. After 3 years and later, 10 patients were examined. Clinical signs of a light degree dumping syndrome were noted in 2.
