[An evaluation of the effectiveness of insecticidal pencils containing cypermethrin].

Formulations of an insecticidal cipermethrine-based pencil were designed and tested in laboratory and field conditions. The formulation containing 0.3% of the active ingredient and a complex of filling components was found to have a high efficacy and a long-term residual action. The preparation "Virtox" has been allowed by the public health authorities for use in combating synanthropic cockroaches, bugs, fleas and other insects.
