In connection with longitudinal ulcer studies and the demonstration of Helicobacter pylori as the main cause of chronic gastritis, new aspects of gastric ulcer recurrences and healing become evident. This extends the possibilities to prognosticate the course of gastric ulcer and to use more effective treatment.
关于纵向溃疡研究以及幽门螺杆菌作为慢性胃炎主要病因的证实，胃溃疡复发和愈合出现了新的情况。这拓展了预测胃溃疡病程以及采用更有效治疗方法的可能性。
