[The diagnosis and treatment of ureteral fistulae].

Causes and duration of ureteral fistula development were analyzed for 96 patients treated in the last decade. The study was performed of three variants of a clinical picture prior to the fistula onset, renal and ureteral function. The duration of the fistula, urinary and bioelectric ureteral changes were related. Indications are specified for each method of the operative treatment of the fistula. The transabdominal approach in ureterocystoneostomy turned out most beneficial.
