Abstract
Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) may be performed at various time intervals after acute myocardial infarction (MI), and may be combined with thrombolytic therapy. This article reviews the data on the role of PTCA in acute MI, and summarises current opinion.
