Abstract

Immunologic status was studied in patients with freshly diagnosed insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus before treatment with insulin and after achieving compensation of diabetes mellitus, since disturbances in certain links of the immune system may well be one of the constituents of a general pathological process giving rise to insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.
