Various radiographic techniques are employed in imaging the unerupted maxillary canine tooth. This article describes an extraoral technique in imaging the maxillary dentition in the superoinferior aspect. The radiograph obtained is very similar to the conventional vertex/true occlusal radiograph. A marked reduction in radiation dose is achieved with this new technique.
