Those who are moving to developing nations are generally doing so for reasons of employment or career development. These individuals should be able to engage in these pursuits without undue risk to health. To provide these expectations requires concerted efforts in the areas of clinical medical assessment, preventive therapeutics, counselling, education, co-ordinating medical networks and facilities and provision of appropriate pharmaceuticals. There will be greater demand for such services as the regional expansion of our economy continues, which will increase the requirement for specific travel health management from the clinical practitioner.
