Although lactobacillus species are among the most common commensal organisms of the mouth, digestive tract, and female genital tract, they rarely cause serious infection. A case of lactobacillus septicemia and pelvic abscess formation in a posthysterectomy patient with mixed Mullerian tumor of the uterus is presented.
