Malignant tumors of the skin are on the increase, worldwide. As a result, the repair of facial defects is of growing concern to the plastic surgeon, who has a range of operative techniques at his disposal. The aim of surgery must be to achieve not merely a good functional reconstruction, but also a pleasing esthetic appearance.
