Abstract

The biosynthesis of aspartate-ammonium lyase of Pseudomonas fluorescens type R, induced by aspartic acid, is controlled by the concentration of fumaric acid which is dependent on fumarase. The activity of fumarase is unaffected by the induction of aspartase.
