A lot of progress has been performed in ocular surgery for the last 20 years. Development of surgical procedures allows a precise action on the different ocular membranes: cornea, lens, irido-corneal angle, vitreous and retina. Inflammatory reaction and fibrosis can be observed after these procedures. Different methods are now available to prevent inflammatory reaction and the fibrosis. The association of an appropriate medical treatment to a surgical procedure is there to be done according to each case.
