The process of insulin release from pancreatic B cells was studied electron miscroscopically using the sulfide silver method with zinc as an indicator. The location of silvered grains was regarded as the same as that of insulin. The results of various investigations stated in this report suggest that the main process of insulin release from B cells be the dissolving process of beta granules.
