We describe a case of a 44-year-old man, presenting with progressive proptosis of the right eye. Computed Tomographic (CT)-examination showed a cystic mass in the lacrimal gland fossa of the right orbit. The lesion was removed in toto. Histological examination showed evidence of old and recent bleedings and a chronic inflammatory reaction with numerous foreign-body giant cells without epithelial lining. The diagnosis of an orbital hematic cyst was established. The pathologic and pathogenetic features of this lesion are discussed. The hematic cyst should be borne in mind as a possible cause of proptosis, due to an intraorbitally-situated mass.
我们报告一例44岁男性患者，表现为右眼进行性眼球突出。计算机断层扫描（CT）检查显示右眼眶泪腺窝有一个囊性肿块。该病变被完整切除。组织学检查显示有陈旧性和近期出血的证据，以及伴有大量无上皮衬里的异物巨细胞的慢性炎症反应。确诊为眼眶血性囊肿。讨论了该病变的病理和发病机制特点。由于眼眶内肿块，血性囊肿应被视为眼球突出的一个可能原因。
