Cosmocerca longispicula sp. nov. (Nematoda: Cosmocercidae), a new cosmocercid nematode discovered in the intestine of a new dendrobatid frog from Martinique, French Antilles, is described and illustrated. It is unique in possessing unusually long, well-sclerotized spicules (length, 0.294-0.300 mm; length ratio of gubernaculum and spicules, 1: 2.1-2.2), a feature that necessitates emendation of the definition for the genus Cosmocerca. C. longispicula is the first known species of Cosmocerca from the Caribbean region. A new name, C. paraguayensis nom. nov., is proposed for C. uruguayensis Moravec and Barus, 1990, a homonym to C. uruguayensis Lent and Freitas, 1948.
长刺科斯莫圆线虫新种（线虫纲：科斯莫圆线虫科），一种在法属安的列斯群岛马提尼克岛的一种新箭毒蛙肠道中发现的新科斯莫圆线虫科线虫，已被描述并图示。它的独特之处在于拥有异常长且高度硬化的交合刺（长度为0.294 - 0.300毫米；引带与交合刺的长度比为1 : 2.1 - 2.2），这一特征使得有必要对科斯莫圆线虫属的定义进行修订。长刺科斯莫圆线虫是加勒比地区已知的首个科斯莫圆线虫物种。为1990年莫拉韦克和巴鲁斯命名的乌拉圭科斯莫圆线虫（它是1948年伦特和弗雷塔斯命名的乌拉圭科斯莫圆线虫的同名异物）提出了一个新名称——巴拉圭科斯莫圆线虫新名。
