The Tiffany/Lutjens Planned Change Theory Evaluation Scale guides nurses in choosing an effective planned change theory. The scale asks many questions specifically related to the relevance of a change theory to nursing concerns such as significance, economy, practicality and congruence with nursing's perspective. Appropriate applications of two change theories to nursing situations are discussed.
