Plantar fibromatosis may be symptomatic or asymptomatic. The stage of the lesion determines its physical appearance. Differential diagnoses among several other soft tissue lesions is important and presented by the author. He further illustrates and discusses plantar fibromatosis according to its clinical and perioperative characteristics.
