[Outcomes of autoarthroplasty in tuberculous arthritis and its sequelae].

Short- and long-term responses obtained after radical surgical reconstruction have been analyzed for 80 patients suffering from tuberculous arthritis and its aftereffects. Defects in the joints due to tuberculous foci removal were corrected by osteochondral autotransplants. Long-term outcomes (3-12-year follow-up) are available for 48 patients. Good and satisfactory results were reached in 91.7%, poor results were recorded in 8.3% of the patients. These were primarily due to tuberculosis progression and arthrosis deformans.
