This article analyzes the relationships among the various parties involved in the development of a heart health educational initiative based on a series of video spots and a leader's manual entitled "Vive la Vie". These educational materials are the product of a partnership effort, coordinated by the Community Health Department of The Montreal General Hospital, between the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services, Radio-Québec and a private production company. At the beginning of the project, there was no history of collaboration between these parties, and their interests and working methods were different. This article explores the difficulties inherent in forming such a partnership as well as the evolution of the project over time.
