Overview of cardiac electrophysiologic testing.

This article describes the basics of electrophysiologic (EP) testing. Included are the identification of a patient population amenable to EP testing, a routine setup for EP testing, and the common protocols performed during EP testing. The overview gives a general understanding of EP testing as well as insight into the patient's perspective. Commonly used EP terms are defined.
