[Morbidity of radical prostatectomy for localized cancer of the prostate].

The author reports the morbidity of 173 personal radical prostatectomy operations performed by the same surgeon between 1st June 1985 and 31st December 1992. The early morbidity was negligible. The late morbidity was marked by a single case of complete incontinence (0.5%). Sexual function deteriorated in proportion to the increasing quality of operative haemostasis.
