In photoperiod and constant temperature, male responsiveness to female pheromones shows a circadian rhythm with a maximum, when females are calling, at the end of scotophase. During photophase, a second peak appears which may correspond in nature with sexual activity at dawn. The sex pheromone production by female seems maximum during scotophase.
在光周期和恒温条件下，雄性对雌性信息素的反应呈现出昼夜节律，当雌性鸣叫时，在暗期结束时反应达到最大值。在光期会出现第二个峰值，这在本质上可能与黎明时的性活动相对应。雌性的性信息素分泌似乎在暗期达到最大值。
