Obstructive gastric foreign body in a rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta).

Weight loss and depression were the principal signs in a case of obstructive gastric foreign body resulting from the ingestion of pine wood fragments by a rhesus monkey. This was the second case of its kind to occur in a short period. Replacement of the monkeys' pine wood resting platforms with platforms made of oak eliminated the problem.
