Cryotherapy to 32 individual branches of the trigeminal nerve in 27 patients, who were followed up for 3 years, resulted in pain relief out-lasting return of sensation. After one year 65% of patients were pain free. In the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia, cryotherapy is an easy method with similar results but lower complication rate in comparison with other peripheral methods.
对27例患者的三叉神经32个分支进行冷冻治疗，并随访3年，结果疼痛缓解持续时间超过感觉恢复时间。一年后，65%的患者无痛。在三叉神经痛的治疗中，与其他外周治疗方法相比，冷冻治疗是一种操作简便、效果相似但并发症发生率较低的方法。
