Abstract

LRF producing neurons have been characterized outside the diencephalon in various Mammals (Dog, Rabbit, Squirrel Monkey). These neurons are mainly localized in the parolfactive area, the subfornical organ, the inner side of the medial nucleus of the amygdala and the rostral mesencephalon.
