Abstract

A rare case of intraosseous well-differentiated osteosarcoma in a 9-year-old boy arising in the rib is reported. A bone scintiscan was found to be useful in accurately diagnosing this lesion as malignant tumor, because plain films and CT scan seemed to indicate a benign tumorous condition.
