As a method of performing a lower blepharoplasty, the author proposes a partially joined skin and muscle flap. This procedure allows one to resect separately different amounts of skin and muscle for appropriate correction of the lower-lid changes that require an aesthetic blepharoplasty. It also promotes muscle raising with consequent skin flap lifting. This technique resects a large amount of skin in order to achieve a smoother lower eyelid.
