In the near future the emphasis of research and consulting institutes outside university will lie in the rationalization within the health care system as well as in the determination of criteria for the rationing of the health services. Therefore it is essential that post-graduates acquire the ability to integrate knowledge of economics and management into the analysis and evaluation of the efficiency of medical service.
