Diabetes mellitus has not often been reported in the bovine. In the present report, the condition is described as it occurred in two cows and one calf. Diagnosis was made on the basis of clinical, laboratory and histopathological findings. All animals showed afebrile debilitation and polydipsia. Hyperglycemia was present with a quantitative reduction in the amount of pancreatic islet tissue.
糖尿病在牛身上并不常见。在本报告中，描述了两头母牛和一头小牛身上发生的这种病症。诊断是基于临床、实验室和组织病理学检查结果做出的。所有动物均表现出无热虚弱和多饮症状。存在高血糖，同时胰岛组织数量定量减少。
